In an interview with CNN on Friday, former Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Robert Redfield expressed his belief that COVID-19, or the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) virus, originated in a Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) lab.
“I’m of the point of view that I still think the most likely etiology of this pathology in Wuhan was from a laboratory, escaped. Other people don’t believe that. That’s fine. Science will eventually figure it out,” stated Mr Redfield.
A recent World Health Organisation (WHO) investigation mission to Wuhan has stated the virus likely mutated from a strain that infected mainly bats to a version capable of harming humans.
However, another more plausible theory backed by mounting evidence asserts that the virus escaped during an experiment conducted by the Wuhan Institute of Virology, allegedly the only organisation in China authorised by the CCP to study the most lethal pathogens.
“I do not believe this somehow came from a bat to a human and at that moment in time, that the virus came to the human, became one of the most infectious viruses that we know in humanity for human-to-human transmission,” said the former CDC Director.
“It’s not unusual for respiratory pathogens that are being worked on in a laboratory to infect the laboratory worker. ······ [Read more] “Former CDC Director Robert Redfield Agrees with COVID-19 Wuhan Lab Origin Theory”
